Mittens in May with Dianna Walla – Sunday, May 3, 11am to 4pm


Learn about –and try your hand at– several of the traditional mittens from different northern European countries. What are the different characteristics of a Norwegian mitten or a Latvian mitten? You’ll be able to choose a style of mini-mitten to work up.: Norweigan, Estonian, Latvian or Swedish (Bohus).

Supplies Needed: Fingering weight or sport weight yarn in at least two contrasting colors (we recommend Rauma Finnulgarn), needles in two sizes (smallest size appropriate for yarn weight, and one or two sizes larger) for preferred method of working small circumferences in the round (DPNs, magic loop, two circulars).
