Join us as we welcome Dotty Widmann of The Net Loft, and her daughter, Nelly Hand of Drifters Fish, as they share stories of life in Cordova, Alaska. Nelly will describe the life she shares with her husband as fisherfolk in Cordova and how they are working hard to preserve the craft and livelihood of Wild-Caught Alaskan Salmon fishing. She will even bring along some smoked salmon to share with all of us. Dotty will delight us with tales of how she and her community at Net Loft are working to preserve the traditional handcrafts that surround and support their fishing community, specifically the Cordova Gansey Project, which has grown into a wide-reaching effort to honor the lives and lifestyle of fishing communities around the globe.
$10 Admission Fee will be converted to store credit on the night of the event only.
