Brioche can seem intimidating but it is actually a very easy stitch, which is also quite addictive! In this class, you will be making the Hawkshaw Cowl by Spincycle.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner, must know how to knit in the round and knit icord.
Supplies Needed: Hawkshaw Cowl pattern by Spincycle, two skeins of Spincycle Independence yarn or two skeins of Aran yarn (200 yds each). For best effect, pick two different color skeins which are contrasting, but complementary. US Size 9 (24 inch) circular needles, US Size 10 DPNs for cord, a tapestry needle, waste yarn, 1 stitch marker.
Homework: Please complete the cord according to the directions in the pattern. You do not need to join the cord. At the first class, you will learn how to use the kitchener stitch to join and how to pick up stitches for the beginning of the cowl.
