Are you ready to steek but nervous about cutting into your knitting? Come join your supportive fellow knitters in a tea party to celebrate your first steeking adventure. The instructor will demonstrate different steeking techniques. Bring swatches for practice and, if you have it, a project ready to be steeked. By the end of this workshop, you will have tried different steeking methods and will be ready for more.
MATERIALS NEEDED: Please bring at least two Simple Steek Mug cozies (pattern in free on Ravelry) ready for finishing. Must be knit in a 'sticky' wool like Brooklyn Tweed Shelter or Lopi. No superwash or 'smooth' wool yarns. If you are not comfortable with colorwork, your cozies can be knit plain. Also bring Contrasting yarn of same weight, a crochet hook, one or two sizes smaller than the needles used to knit the swatch, sharp scissors, and a tapestry needle.
Instructor: Dorie Lysaght
