Our shop sample of the Range Shawl by Andrea Mowry knit with YOTH Yarns Father.

My dear friend Suzanne (who now works at Tolt and is the one that ships out all of our online orders) introduced me to Veronika of YOTH Yarns the summer of 2013, just a few months before we opened Tolt.   Veronika was working full time and running a very popular knitting blog, Yarn on the House, but had dreams of quitting her job and starting her own yarn line.   Right before Tolt's grand opening Veronika quit her full time job, started working at Tolt part time and started to make her yarn line dream come true.

Danny and Veronika from our first LYS Tour in 2014.

There was no doubt in my mind that YOTH Yarns would be anything but amazing and successful.  With so much heart, creativity and passion, Veronika and her brother, Danny  and rest of their family have created a gorgeous palette of colors and yarn bases.  YOTH Yarn and the Rutherford Hat pattern was first released May of 2014 during our first LYS Tour.   YOTH has grown in so many ways since that first release but the heart and soul of the yarn and the company has stayed the same.

When Veronika first dreamed up YOTH she knew she wanted to have a US yarn base.   Father (worsted weight) and Mother (lace weight) were released the fall of 2015 and were well received by all!  We featured Veronika and Danny's story in our book, Farm to Needle and Veronika also contributed a beautiful wrap pattern to our book.

I'm a huge fan of Father yarn!   I love the feel and stitch definition of this worsted weight yarn and of course, the Raw palette is my favorite.

Working in the Field Wrap by Veronika Jobe for our Farm to Needle book, knit with YOTH Yarns Father.

My first project with Father was knitting our Lambing Mitts.   I was so happy with the yarn that I chose it for my Lighthouse Pullover by Carrie Bostick Hoge from her book, Swoon and am now working on the Field Wrap from our Farm to Needle book.

Veronika is always dreaming up new ideas and I can't wait to see what comes next from YOTH.
