  • LYS Tour 2015

Wow!  What an amazing LYS Tour we had this year.   Thank you to everyone that came out to visit us and a huge thank you to our amazing Tolt team and our awesome volunteers.  We hope you all enjoyed this fun event and look forward to seeing your LYS Tour 2015 finished projects on your Ravelry project pages.

For those of you unable to do the tour this year, we now have the patterns available on Ravelry.

Karen Crittenden, our amazing knit and and crochet instructor, designed Stossel, our crocheted beanie pattern.  This versatile and unisex hat takes up to two skeins of Quince & Co. Owl or Owl Tweet (please call our Carnation shop to order this yarn) and can be made fitted or slouchy.

Our sweet and talented, Veronika Jobe, designed our knit pattern, Blanche.   This beautiful crop top takes only two skeins of YOTH Little Brother and looks great on all body types.  Veronika came into the shop this Saturday wearing her Blanche top that she had added some mods to.  We love what Veronika did and she was so kind as to share her mods with us.  Veronika also had the great idea of color blocking this lovely top, making left and right panels different colors or a different color to the front and back.  So many ways to knit Blanche and we can't wait to see your own version of this top.

Complete garment and seaming. Prior to blocking follow these instructions:

Using leftover yarn from left and right panels (I used my smaller ball for front and larger ball for back) and US 6 needles with WS facing, pick up all front sts (half of the garment) approximately 100 (120) sts. One for each cast-on/bind-off chain sts at the bottom hem. Work in Stockinette st until you run out of yarn (saving enough yarn for binding off loosely) or until desired length is reached.

    Repeat above for back half.
