  • My Summer is winding down.

Another summer is coming to an end.  I can feel it in the cool and misty mornings we've had these last couple of days and see it in the leaves that are starting to gather on the trails in the valley.  School is starting soon and I'm planning my last big hike for the season.

It has been an awesome summer, full of adventures, knitting and time with family.  I went  on some gorgeous hikes with my husband and one solo backpacking trip.  I got to visit my sister and her family in Oregon, then my kids, husband and I got to spend time up at our family cabin up in British Columbia, Canada.   I was able to finish all the patterns from our 2016 Camp Tolt Collection and put them to good use on my outings in nature.

At Smith Rock, Oregon knitting the Bandera Kerchief in Cestari Ash Lawn Collection
At Lake Ingalls wearing my Banff hat and Bandera Kerchief
Solo backpacking trip to Russett Lake, B.C., Canada.  Working on my Iron Horse Mitts
Wearing the whole 2016 Camp Tolt Collection at Shuswap Lake, B.C., Canada
Fun evening with the Family at Shuswap Lake

I also had a blast at our Camp Tolt Knit Nights at Tolt MacDonald Park in Carnation!   What fun it was to sit by the fire with our amazing community of knitters and laugh, knit and eat s'mores.   I do hope you join us again next year!
