Fill In The ______ Sweater Class
Do you browse sweater patterns and pass up on the chance to dive in because you’re scared of the fine details? Feel confident in a group of beginning sweater knitters with guidance and support in a five-part series to walk you through a sweater pattern of your choice from start to finish.
During our first meeting, the instructor will help you choose a pattern to meet your experience level. We will also go over what type of yarn will best suit your pattern, how to swatch for your particular project, and tools you may need before our next session. Our second, third, fourth and fifth sessions will be filled with instructions and customized help depending on where you are in your sweater knitting. At the end of our workshop, you will have a sweater that you will be proud to say you knit yourself.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner / Intermediate – you are able to cast-on, bind off, knit, purl, and some experience with increases and decreases. Some experience with lace or cables (only if your pattern calls for those!)
Supplies Needed: Your pattern of choice and yarn for the project, needles for your specific pattern (you may need a variety of sizes for swatching and knitting your garment -- we will go over this in our first session), notions: stitch markers, locking stitch markers, tapestry needle, and scissors.
