Sweet Magnolia Cowl

In this two-part class, you will learn to read lace charts and knit this beautiful cowl designed by Susan Gehringer.
We will be knitting the long/wide version.

Skill Level: Intermediate
(Must be able to cast-on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, bind-off, and you are comfortable knitting in the round.
We will learn how to read lace charts in class.)

Needles: US5 – 24” circular (or appropriate needle to obtain gauge) and crochet hook in same size as knitting needle.
You may also bring an second, identical circular needle if you would like to learn an optional cast-on technique.
400 yards fingering weight yarn – we recommend Twirl
Sweet Magnolia – available at Tolt Yarn and Wool
Tapestry needle, dress-making pins, stitch marker, 3 yards scrap yarn
(a smooth tightly spun yarn in light contrasting color works best)
