Brooklyn Tweed was founded by Jared Flood as a blog in 2005 and became a company producing yarn in 2010.

Brooklyn Tweed is committed to producing 100% American yarns. The sheep live their lives in northern Wyoming, after shearing their fleeces are sent to Texas for gentle scouring, which leaves a little bit of flora still in the yarn, but protects the natural beauty of the Targhee-Columbia wool. After scouring it's off to Pennsylvania to be dyed in the wool, to then be blended into the beautiful heathered palette at Harrisville Designs in New Hampshire.

We are so very happy to be offering Brooklyn Tweed yarns to you.  We hope you enjoy knitting with it as much as we do!
