Two Sessions: Thursdays, October 11 and 18, 6pm to 8pm

Cables look complicated but are actually very easy to do! In this class, you will learn how to create cables and read charts. After mastering these skills, we will make the Habitat Hat by Jared Flood.

Supplies: Please purchase the Habitat Hat pattern by Jared Flood (available on Ravelry), US 7 and 8 needles in 16" length (or size to obtain gauge), set of double pointed needles in your larger needle size, 120 to 135 yards of worsted weight yarn (we recommend Brooklyn Tweed Shelter) - please have yarn purchased and wound before class, 6 stitch markers, 1 cable needle (small or medium)

Homework: Use smaller needle that you used to get gauge, cast on 90 stitches and work one inch of ribbing (K2, P1). Leave this on needles and bring to first class.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner: you can k, p, cast on, bind off and knit in the round.
