Youth Learn to Knit

Do you have a creative crafty child? Have they learned to finger knit but are ready for more? Scheduled for summer this class is offered because we’ve had many families come in interested in crafting.  This is a learn to knit for young people ages 8-13. A parent is required by law for us to have your child here so this class can teach you as well. The project is garter stitch mitts from one skein of worsted weight yarn. Pattern provided.

Instructor: Tami Petrie
Cost: $100 for child and parent
Dates and times: 2 days, 4 hours total
Thursdays, July 13 and 20, 1-3pm
Materials Needed: 200-250 yards of worsted weight yarn, US 8 needles for each participant. Feel free to bring in supplies from home. We recommend any of the fun colors from Kelbourne Woolens Germantown Worsted.
