In this full-day class, you'll knit a simple-but-impressive fingerless mitt that will allow us to explore working cables and mixed textures in a single piece, working from charts, how to read the work and let it tell you where you are in the pattern, as well as getting a grasp on what's charted so you can memorize it and knit without. And to top it off, you'll learn to enjoy mattress stitch!
It's fine if you don't already know how to knit a cable — this is a great chance to learn — but you must already be comfortable knitting knit-purl stitch patterns.
Supplies: US 5 and US 6 needles (straight or 24" circular), one skein of Snoqualmie Valley Yarn (or DK weight yarn of your choice), plus a spare DPN or cable needle. We will provide the stitch markers and the printed pattern.
Using size US #5 / 3.75mm needles* (straight or 24" circular), CO 46 sts. Do not join in the round.
