Four Sessions: Mondays, September 17 and 24, October 8 and 22, 6pm to 8pm
This class was designed to teach you step by step how to knit a top down cardigan. the first class will focus on picking a size and how to swatch to get the correct gauge. Then we will cast on to start the neckline. In the second class you will learn how to do raglan increases. The third class will focus on dividing for sleeves and knitting the body. the fourth class will focus on joining sleeves, sleeve decreases and finishing techniques.
Supplies: Please purchase the pattern, Ramona Cardigan, by Elizabeth Smith (available on Ravelry) and bring one skein of wound yarn to the first class. Do not wind additional skeins until after the first class. We recommend Quince Osprey for this project, but you can choose any Aran/Bulky weight yarn. Also bring needles ranging from size US 7–10 for swatching (length doesn't matter). You will also need a 6" ruler for the first class.
