Project: Ramona Cardigan
Confident Beginner. Skill requirements: co, k, p, bo, knitting in the round
This class was designed to teach you step by step how to knit a top down cardigan. The first class will focus on picking a size, how to modify the pattern for a flattering fit, and how to get the correct gauge. Then we will cast on and learn how to do raglan increases. The second class will focus on dividing for sleeves and knitting the body. The third class will focus on joining sleeves and sleeve decreases. The fourth class will focus on picking up stitches for the button band and learning how to make button holes.
Supplies: Please purchase the Ramona Cardigan pattern by Elizabeth Smith and bring one skein of wound yarn to the first class. It is recommended to bring a range of needle sizes to the first class for swatching, as you may end up needing a different size than the pattern recommends. You will have time in class to purchase correct needle sizes.
