Learn to spin straight from washed locks - a wonderfully easy and beautiful way to spin pearly, medium-weight wools. In this class you’ll learn how to select good locks for this type of spinning, how to open the locks by combing or flicking, and finally tips and tricks to spin lovely yarns straight from those locks.
Pre-Requisite / Supplies: Students must bring their own wheel, be able to spin a consistent single, and be confident with fine-tuning their tensions and ratios. Students should bring at least three bobbins and some type of Kate (or their own ball winder if they prefer to ply from a center-pull ball, but this technique will not be taught as part of Intermediate classes).
