Using both hands to knit stranded color work makes fair isle knitting fast and fun! In this class, you will learn how to use two hands to knit two colors in the round.
Tips will be included on how to avoid tight floats, how to catch the yarn at the back of the work to avoid long floats, how color dominance works, and how to fix your colorwork mistakes.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner: you are able to cast on, bind off, read a simple chart and comfortably knit in the round.
Supplies Needed: 16" circulars in US Size 6, 7 and 8 (or whatever size you normally use for worsted weight yarn plus the size below and above), 2 contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn (one light, one darker).
Homework: Cast on 56 stitches in either color on the smallest needle and work in the round 2x2 ribbing (k2, p2) for one inch. Switch to the next larger needle and work stockinette (knit all stitches) for four rounds. Leave on needles.
